Reports from Holland suggest that Swansea and Newcastle are both keen on signing VVV Venlo winger Yanic Wildschut.

The 20-year-old began his career in the Ajax youth Academy before joining FC Zwolle in 2010 and moving to VVV-Venlo last summer.

His performances for Eredivisie outfit this season have caught the eye of a number of scouts from across Europe.

Reports on Friday suggested Premier League duo Newcastle and Swansea were leading the chase for the Amsterdam-born starlet.

VVV-Venlo are understandably reluctant to let Wildschut leave, but a fee in the region of 3.5million Euros is rumoured to be good enough to persuade them to do a deal.
