Vazquez eyes Swans stay

Alvaro Vazquez says he is enjoying life with Swansea and would like to extend his stay with the club at the end of the season.

The Spanish U-21 international has struggled for regular action since arriving at the club from Getafe but he is still enjoying life at the Liberty Stadium and would like to remain with the Swans.

The 22-year-old will now get his chance following injuries to Wilfried Bony and Michu, and played the full 90 minutes as the Swans lost 3-0 at Manchester City on Sunday.

"It's a shame to have the chance because the other players are injured but I've been working hard in case the chance came along," he said. "I will do my best if the boss picks me to play.

"I am really happy playing in the Premier League. I like Swansea, I am living here with my family and I would love to stay at the club for longer."
