Julia Goerges is relishing the chance to take the scalp of Victoria Azarenka in round four at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

The number 14 seed battled from 0-3 down in the second set to beat the number 24 seed and Spanish veteran, Anabel Medina Garrigues, 6-3 6-4 on Sunday.

Next up for Georges is the top seed and recently-crowned Australian Open winner, Azarenka, who needed only an hour to beat number 25 seed and two-time BNP Paribas Open finalist, Svetlana Kuznetsova, 6-1 6-2, to take her tally to 19-0 for 2012.

"It doesn't matter who you are playing, the same motivation has to be there every time you go on court," Goerges said of the tough Belarus right-hander.

She told the WTA Tour website: "Of course, when you play No.1 in the world, you have nothing to lose. Vika's a tough player and recently won her first Grand Slam, and hasn't lost a match so far this year. I'll just try to focus on my game and playing my game, and we'll see how far it brings me."
