Tim Henman is hoping for an injury-free run on the American hardcourt circuit as he looks to salvage something from a nightmare year.
The British number two has not won two consecutive matches all year and lost in the second round at Wimbledon in five sets when it looked as though he was set to roll back the years and make the latter stages of the tournament.
But the 32-year-old refuses to be downbeat about the situation and is hopeful that his body will hold up as he embarks on a busy time of year stateside.
"If I could wish for one thing it would be a clean bill of health for the rest of the year," he told Radio Five Live. "When it's stop-start, and certainly at my age, it becomes harder to get back into the tournament routine.
"I've got four events in five weeks and I feel that's a good opportunity to really get stuck into some tournaments and start winning some more matches."
The six-time Grand Slam semi-finalist will be back in action next week in Washington, in a tournament that will also see the return of British number one Andy Murray.
