Gulls boss Ian Atkins has confirmed the signing of midfielder Lee Mansell on a two-year deal from Oxford for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old, who became an ever-present feature for Oxford last season making over 51 league and cup appearances, will join the rest of the squad for pre-season training on Thursday.
Despite being a huge asset for the U's last season, Mansell could not help them avoid relegation to the Conference and so expressed his desire to return to League Two.
Even though Atkins is still looking for a new goalkeeper, he expressed his delight at the capture and told the club's official website: "Lee is just the sort of lad we need - he has tremendous energy and is a box-to-box player.
"Lee's got ability, he's got pace, he's young and he's got a season full of matches in this division under his belt. He was the fans' player of the year at Oxford and that says a lot in itself."
