Zenit have held out for £24million and Spurs were only willing to pay in the region of £16million. However, Arshavin believes the imminent arrival of Roman Pavlyuchenko has put an end to the deal in any case.
"I have a feeling we can put this story to bed," he told Sport Express. "I think with the purchase of Pavlyuchenko the idea of Arshavin (moving) to London no longer exists.
When asked whether his future was now with Zenit, he replied: "It looks that way."
