Tottenham chief Daniel Levy has met with Gareth Bale amid reports he will be allowed to join Real Madrid if they offer a record £100m.
Some reports claim that an offer of £85m has already been received although nothing has been confirmed by the club.
The gist of the latest speculation appears to be that if the Spanish giants offer somewhere around £100m or £80m plus a player - Luka Modric is the latest name to be mentioned - then Spurs will sell.
On the other hand, if no official offer comes in, some reports suggest Bale will not rock the boat and instead just get on with the forthcoming season.
Levy met with Bale and his parents on Tuesday where the 24-year-old made it clear he was not going to hand in a transfer request and will give his all should he remain at the club.
