Barca target Spurs star

Barcelona have set their sights on Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris as they target a long-term replacement for Victor Valdes.

Valdes is set to leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season, and the Catalan giants are searching the globe for his replacement, with Lloris emerging as a target.

Much will depend on whether Tottenham qualify for the Champions League, but if they miss out, boss Tim Sherwood could be facing a huge battle to keep hold.

The Frenchman has been a big hit at White Hart Lane and Barcelona are not the only club showing an interest in him.

Big-spending Paris Saint-Germain could offer him the chance to return home, while high-flying Atletico Madrid are also in the running to take him to La Liga.

However, the chance to play for Barca will be a huge pull for Lloris, and Spurs will be hoping they switch their attentions elsewhere for Valdes' replacement.
