Bent happy with Spurs pair

TottenhamSpurs striker Darren Bent has handed his backing to the under-fire duo of boss Juande Ramos and sporting director Damien Comolli.

The White Hart Lane outfit are bottom of the Premier League and still without a win in seven games so far, but Bent is calling for patience.

He told Sky Sports: "I would like to see him [Ramos] given time. I think there are too many managers in this country that are gone at the first sign of trouble.

"He should be given a chance. He won the Carling Cup last season. He is a fantastic manager. The lads and the club are all behind him."

On Comolli, whose transfer policy has been called in question, the former Charlton star added: "I am behind Damien 100%. He is one of the main reasons behind me coming to Tottenham. He is brilliant for the club. I think he is the right man."
