Bent saga rumbles on

TottenhamSunderland have yet to agree a fee with Premier League rivals Tottenham for Darren Bent, according to reports.

The England striker could be a high-profile casualty of manager Juande Ramos' summer reshuffle after failing to oust first-choice strike duo Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov.

Reports had claimed Bent was on Wearside discussing a £10million switch to the Stadium of Light, although it has since emerged that no price for the three-times capped England player has been agreed between the two clubs.

Sunderland manager Roy Keane is keen to add to some depth to his attacking options and Bent, who was signed by former Spurs boss Martin Jol 12 months ago for £16.5million from Charlton, is a target.

Aston Villa and Celtic are also reportedly in the running to sign Bent, although his future could depend on whether or not Keane, who has reportedly asked for a transfer, and Berbatov, a target for Manchester United and Barcelona, stay at White Hart Lane.
