Bentley undergoes Spurs medical

Blackburn midfielder David Bentley is undergoing a medical at Tottenham and hopes to wrap up a deal in the next 24 hours.

Tottenham are believed to have finally agreed a deal with Blackburn for the England international who is now at White Hart Lane undergoing medical tests before discussing personal terms.

Rovers have tried their best to keep hold of Bentley but after the player made it clear he wanted to move on, boss Paul Ince cleared the way for him to go.

Blackburn will not let him go on the cheap, though, and have held out for as much as possible. It is thought that Spurs have now offered close to the £18million that Blackburn want and Bentley could be unveiled before Juande Ramos takes his players on a pre-season trip to Holland later this week.
