Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has not given up hope of landing Colombian forward Jackson Martinez from former club Porto.
The list of strikers being linked with a move to White Hart Lane is a long one but Martinez, with 26 goals in 27 appearances last season in Portugal, is close to the top, despite his agent saying there was nothing in the rumours.
The 26-year-old, who is tied to Porto until 2016, is thought to have a release clause in his contract of around £35million but Villas-Boas is hopeful of persuading his former club to part with their man for less.
Leandro Damiao and David Villa are also on Spurs' radar and the manager may have to turn his attentions more in their direction after Martinez's agent claimed he was not moving.
Luis Manso said: "Jackson Martinez has always said he wants to stay at FC Porto and he does not have to leave.
"He is happy and his family too so I do not see the intention of the club to sell.
