Defender faces fitness test for Villa trip

Boss Harry Redknapp will give a late fitness test to defender Ledley King ahead of Tottenham's game at Aston Villa tomorrow.

King remains a doubt as he battles to overcome a series of knee and hamstring problems that have plagued him over the last two years, while fellow defender Sebastien Bassong is still sidelined by a hamstring injury.

Midfielder Luka Modric has failed to recover from a broken leg in time so Redknapp is expected to stick with the same side that recorded a club record 9-1 win over Wigan last weekend.

Jermain Defoe - who scored five goals against Wigan - Robbie Keane and Peter Crouch are all set to start, with Defoe needing just three more to beat his personal-best tally of 13 goals in a season.
