Christian Eriksen appears to favour his former Ajax chief Frank de Boer as a possible replacement for Tim Sherwood as Tottenham boss.
The 22-year-old Denmark international playmaker enjoyed success under De Boer with the Dutch giants and his form prompted former Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas to splash out £11million for his signature last summer.
Eriksen has gradually found his feet in the Premier League this season and his stoppage-time equaliser in Saturday's 3-3 draw at West Brom made it seven goals in 21 league outings so far this term.
Despite his own good form Spurs look set to miss out on Champions League football which has resulted in the club looking for a successor to Sherwood, who is set to be axed at the end of the season.
Louis Van Gaal is thought to be the front-runner to take over the position, but Eriksen is in no doubt that De Boer would be a success at White Hart Lane if he could be enticed away from the Amsterdam Arena.
Eriksen told De Telegraaf: "Whether Frank de Boer would do well in the Premier League? Well I think good coaches do it anywhere.
"I do not have a lot of contact with Frank, but our bond is always good. I have so many thanks to him."
