Pavlyuchenko will be charged with task of leading the line by manager Juande Ramos now that Berbatov and former striker partner Robbie Keane have left White Hart Lane.
And he feels he and the team will benefit from not having the Bulgarian around, saying: "I can't really say much about Berbatov leaving. Let him go and then I'll play. It's good for me.
"I've talked to Juande Ramos. He's a nice man. He said he's going to rely on me. He played quite a big role in my transfer."
