Holders face major Reds test

NewsTottenham have been handed a home tie with Liverpool in the Carling Cup 4th round, with Robbie Keane set to return to White Hart Lane.

The holders have already knocked out Premier League opposition, Newcastle, in their defence of the trophy but will be handed a stern test against Rafa Benitez's men.

Liverpool have not lost to Tottenham in the last nine games between the sides, with Spurs' last win coming back in 2004 when they picked up a 2-1 home success - with Keane ironically among the scorers that day.

Those looking to use their £25 free bet will be interested to note that Tottenham do have the edge though in the League Cup, with three wins to Liverpool's one in their six meetings in the competition.

Elsewhere, there are two other all-Premier League ties with Arsenal drawn to face Wigan, while former Manchester United team-mates Roy Keane and Paul Ince go head-to-head as Sunderland face Blackburn.

Last season's runners-up Chelsea have been handed a home clash with Burnley, while Queens Park Rangers make the journey to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.

Third-round draw:

Sunderland v Blackburn Rovers

Arsenal v Wigan Athletic

Chelsea v Burnley

Swansea City v Watford

Manchester United v Queens Park Rangers

Stoke City v Rotherham United

Brighton & Hove Albion or Derby v Leeds United

Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool
