Tottenham have been hit by a blow on the injury front with the news that Michael Dawson could be out for the remainder of the season.
The news, if confirmed, will be a massive blow to Spurs boss Harry Redknapp as he chases glory in the FA Cup and a place in the top three this season, with Champions League football as a reward.
Dawson was stretchered off the field during Wednesday night's 3-1 victory over Stevenage after going over on his right ankle and then appearing to twist his knee as he fell in a challenge with Chris Beardsley.
Not only is he unlikely to feature for Spurs again this season, if it does turn out to be ligament damage, but it also puts his participation in the summer's Euro 2012 finals in serious doubt as well.
"Looking at his injury, it would be a miracle to think he is not [out for the season]. It's long term for sure,"
Redknapp said after the game.
"It is his ankle and knee. He has gone off to hospital - it wasn't good."
To add to Spurs woes Aaron Lennon picked up yet another hamstring injury and had to come off in the first half.
