Juventus are reported to be lining up a £13million swoop for Tottenham defender Gareth Bale when the window re-opens.
The Italian giants are planning big changes in the summer and defence is an area they are keen to strengthen with Bale said to be one of their top targets along with Liverpool's Martin Skrtel.
Bale is at last starting to show what he can do after a troubled start to his career at White Hart Lane and is impressing in the side after replacing the injured Benoit Assou-Ekotto.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp will be keen to keep hold but he may be tempted to cash in if Juventus come up with the kind of cash that is being mentioned in the Italian media.
Inter Milan and AC Milan have also been linked with a move and it could turn out to be an interesting summer for the former Southampton man.
