Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris claims the clash with Lyon on Thursday could easily be a Champions League encounter.
The second leg of the Europa League tie is unlikely to feature Loris as Brad Friedel has been the preferred goalkeeper for the cup matches and the veteran American is likely to keep his place as the north Londoners defend a 2-1 lead.
Lloris is still looking forward to his return to the Stade Gerland and is warning his new team-mates the match will not be easy.
"It could almost be a Champions League game between two top sides in Europe," said the France international.
"For us, it's a good test to play against a good team, we have a chance and we have to take it.
"Many players left Lyon in the last transfer window and the situation at the club isn't easy at the moment but they can trust in their academy and still have great players like Lisandro Lopez and Bafetimbi Gomis."
