Despite a difficult start to life at White Hart Lane, Hugo Lloris is now back to his best and has thanked Brad Friedel for his help.
The France keeper had to fight Friedel to get the number one shirt on a regular basis when he joined the club in the summer and he was actually implored by some observers to leave Spurs because of his lack of first-team football.
Lloris ignored all the talk and battled to become the club's number one ahead of Friedel, eventually securing the role against Arsenal back in November, but he has thanked his rival for all the help he has given him.
He told the Evening Standard: "We talk about games, we talk about teams we play against and sometimes that's good for me because I don't know all the players in the Premier League.
"I knew about Brad before I arrived. He is a very good goalkeeper and a well-respected one."
