Tottenham are set to complete the sale of midfielder Simon Dawkins to Nottingham Forest on Friday for a fee of around £500,000.

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has impressed whilst on loan with the promotion chasing Championship side and he has scored three times in the 13 appearances with Forest.

Dawkins' current contract at White Hart Lane ends in the summer, although there is a 12 month option, and Spurs are ready to accept £500,000 now rather than see him walk away for nothing in July.

Dawkins is set to sign a two-and-a-half-year deal at the City ground.
