Milan ace to replace Berba

TottenhamTottenham are being linked with AC Milan striker Marco Borriello as Dimitar Berbatov holds crisis talks at the club.

Berbatov and his agent are believed to have held talks with Spurs officials on Monday morning as they try to engineer a move to Manchester United ahead of the transfer deadline.

Reports have claimed that Spurs would rather him rot in the reserves than sign for the Reds but the most likely outcome is that the Bulgarian will finally get his wish of a move away.

If that is the case then Juande Ramos will need at least one replacement and reports in the Italian press claim that Borriello is a target for the Spaniard.

Milan are ready to cash in on the 26-year-old, who was part-owned by Genoa last season and banged in an impressive 19 goals for the Rossoblu.

Ramos has been alerted by such form and the Corriere dello Sport claim a swoop is on.
