Spurs seem set to fail with any potential January move for Joao Moutinho as the player is keen to remain with Porto.
The White Hart Lane side had appeared on course to snap up the Portuguese playmaker in the summer but a deadline day swoop for Moutinho collapsed.
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas had been expected to reignite his interest in the 26-year-old Portugal international in January but Moutinho has now revealed he has no plans to leave Porto.
"I've made the decision to stay with Porto. I'm happy," Moutinho is quoted as saying in the Star.
Porto may be prepared to cash in on Moutinho at the end of the season but Spurs will face a battle to secure the midfielder's services as big-spending Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg have also been credited with an interest.
