Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko is hoping to seal a move back to Russia despite the closure of the transfer window.
The Spurs frontman had been tipped to move to Birmingham before the transfer window closed on Monday but a move failed to materialise.
Pavlyuchenko has found it hard to break into the Spurs starting eleven and the arrival of Eidur Gudjohnsen has pushed him further down the pecking order.
It was thought Robbie Keane's move to Celtic could have ended the speculation surrounding the Russian striker but Pavlyuchenko's agent, Oleg Artemov, claims to be in talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy regarding a move away from White Hart Lane.
"I do not think Keane's move to Celtic changes much in Pavlyuchenko's destiny with Spurs," said Artemov. "We are still in negotiations with Levy. I'm having another meeting with him in the next couple of days."
The Russian transfer window is open until mid-March meaning Pavlyuchenko could still seal a move away.
Lokomotiv Moscow are reported to have made a £9.6million bid, while Zenit St Petersburg and Spartak Moscow are also thought to be keen on the 28-year-old.
