Peterborough have dismissed reports that Tottenham have made an approach for Posh striker George Boyd.

Peterborough's director of football Barry Fry has spoken out after weekend speculation linked the striker with a possible January switch to White Hart Lane.

Boyd has been in great form for Peterborough this season but Fry says Spurs have not been in touch while he has also ruled out Craig Mackail-Smith joining Middlesbrough.

"I have had no contact from Harry Redknapp about Boyd or Gordon Strachan about Mackail-Smith so there is nothing in those reports," Fry revealed.
