Ramos calls for resolution

TottenhamTottenham manager Juande Ramos has told chairman Daniel Levy to sell Dimitar Berbatov so he can bring in a replacement.

White Hart Lane supremo Levy is at loggerheads with suitors Manchester United and want-away striker Berbatov has so far failed to complete his transfer to Old Trafford.

The 27-year-old was left out of Saturday's 2-1 home defeat against Sunderland for not being in the right frame of mind, and with time running out before the September 1 deadline, Ramos has called for an end to the saga.

"We need to get this matter resolved before the transfer deadline," he said.

"If Berbatov goes, we will need time to sign a replacement. We want to have the best centre forward we can possibly get."
