Ramos makes striker pledge

TottenhamSpurs boss Juande Ramos insists Manchester United target Dimitar Berbatov will not be frozen out despite asking for a transfer.

The Bulgaria international hit two goals for his country against Bosnia Herzegovina in midweek to underline his class just days after starting the Premier League season on the bench at Middlesbrough.

And Ramos has now told the 27-year-old he will be included in his plans for as long as he remains at White Hart Lane.

"If a player is on form, if he knocks in a couple of goals, then I'm sure anyone who booed him last week will soon be getting behind him and cheering him. That is what it is like," said Ramos.

"While he is still here, he is very much 100% a Tottenham player - that is how we consider things."

The Spaniard added: "It is not a case of finding a solution to a problem before it occurs."
