Harry Redknapp has admitted he would find it hard to leave Tottenham right now and has hinted he could become part-time England boss.
Since Fabio Capello decided to call it quits as Three Lions coach Redknapp's name has been linked with the role as national coach constantly, with players and fans alike calling for his appointment.
So far the FA have yet to approach Redknapp about becoming England boss as they continue to discuss who would be the best man for the job.
Redknapp has been installed as favourite after performing something of miracle at White Hart Lane, taking the north London club from the foot of the Premier League to challenging for the title in less than four years.
Spurs are currently third, just seven points off league leaders Manchester City, and are habouring hopes of a title challenge given their impressive form thus far.
Having guided Tottenham into the Champions League for the first time since the 1960s Redknapp is looking to make sure they at least finish in the top four, a feat punters might fancy using their free bet to back.
The 64-year-old has admitted he would be tempted by the England job but says right now he can't leave Tottenham.
"Just to walk away now, when we're in such a good position, it wouldn't be fair, it wouldn't be fair on Tottenham. I have to really keep focusing on Tottenham," Redknapp told Abu Dhabi Sports.
"This week we have Stevenage in the Cup, then we have Man Utd, then we have Arsenal, then we have Chelsea. We have some fantastic games. It's important time for me with Tottenham."
Redknapp went on to say that he thought someone could combine a club job with the England job on a temporary basis, hinting he could do that up until the end of Euro 2012.
"Part-time? In the short term I think it's possible for the European Championships. But I think in the long-term it's not possible to manage a club team and manage a national team. It's difficult enough to manage in the Premier League without having to worry about managing the England team as well." Redknapp added.
