Harry Redknapp has set his sights on bringing in another striker with Lyon forward Fred leading his transfer hit list.

Redknapp is keen to bolster his attacking options after failing to be impressed with Darren Bent and Roman Pavlyuchenko, having already completed the signing of Jermain Defoe for £16million earlier this week.

Redknapp is known to be keen on Fred who was fallen out of favour at the French Champions and is out of contract in the summer.

Lyon are keen not to let the Brazilian forward leave for nothing and could be tempted with a bid in the region of £4million should Spurs follow up their interest in him.

Fred is also known to be keen on playing in the Premier League and could be tempted by Spurs if he wants to escape his French nightmare which has seen him make just 12 appearances all season.

"England is a big league and it is natural for any player to want to go there," the 25-year-old is quoted as saying.
