Tottenham's hopes of landing Alan Dzagoev could depend on CSKA Moscow landing a replacement in Holland international Eljero Elia.
The Russian star is thought to be on Andre Villas-Boas' summer transfer list as he looks for a midfield playmaker after giving up on his original target Joao Moutinho, but as ever there are other parties interested and Juventus also are keen.
According to reports in the Russian media, the deal could depend on whether CSKA land their target of Elia, but he too is wanted by others.
The Werder Bremen star is on West Ham's summer shopping list while Liverpool have been on his trail for two years, but Spurs need CSKA to win the race so they can move for Dzagoev.
