Russian rules out Spurs

TottenhamRussian forward Roman Pavlyuchenko has ruled himself out of a move to Spurs because he only wants to join Arsenal or Chelsea.

Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is reported to be keen to bring the Russian striker to White Hart Lane but the player himself is not interested.

Pavlyuchenko formed a formidable partnership with Andrei Arshavin at this summer's European Championship and Ramos has been linked with moves for both players.

Spurs have already added to their frontline with the close-season arrivals of Giovani Dos Santos and David Bentley from Barcelona and Blackburn respectively.

Despite the new arrivals, the loss of Robbie Keane and the continued speculation surrounding Dimitar Berbatov has left Ramos eager to bolster his attack further ahead of the new season.

However, Spartak Moscow forward Pavlyuchenko is quoted as saying he has no intention of joining Spurs.

He said: "I love the Premier League and I would certainly like to play there. However, if I go to England, I would want to play for Arsenal or Chelsea."
