Brazilian ace Sandro's agent says a deal to take the midfielder to Spurs is now very close to being completed.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp admitted earlier this week he wants to sign the 20-year-old, who plays for Internacional in his home country, and it was thought an agreement could even be struck over the weekend following the final matches in the Brazilian Serie A.
The move could be complicated by the fact the player is reportedly part-owned by a third party but Spurs look set to have to fork out around £6million overall for the youngster.
Luiz Paulo Chignall, Sandro's agent, said: "This deal is very advanced although Internacional are yet to receive some important documents."
Sandro, who has one cap for Brazil, admitted he wants to try his luck in Europe and he believes the style of play in England will suit his game.
He said: "I don't want to speak too much about this but I am ready to move to Europe.
"I am convinced my style will suit a team that favours an attacking approach."
