Spanish ace linked with Lane

Tottenham are reported to be keen on Juan Mata, who is facing an uncertain future at Chelsea.

Mata has managed to play his way back into the thoughts of Jose Mourinho but it is thought the playmaker still has concerns over whether he will play enough to force his way into Spain's World Cup squad.

Paris Saint Germain were keen to do a deal in the summer but a move failed to materialise and the player ended up staying at Stamford Bridge, where he has struggled to cement a regular place.

Reports claim the French outfit are back in the hunt for the player, while there is also interest from Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas, who managed Mata while in charge of Chelsea.
