Tottenham winger Gareth Bale is convinced that the side will soon be getting back to winning ways if they continue to show spirit.

Spurs were looking in control of the clash against local rivals Arsenal until Emmanuel Adebayor was sent off in the 18th minute after putting the side ahead - but even with 10 men the visitors continued to create chances and Bale, who made it 4-2 with 20 minutes to go, was pleased to see the spirit in the camp.

"We started well, felt in control, got an early goal and the lads were confident that we'd see out the rest of the game or even take the game to them and score some more goals," said Bale.

"It was obviously disappointing in the end but the lads showed spirit, we fought back and tried to attack at every chance.

"If the lads show that spirit in every game, with 11 men, I'm sure we'll be fine."
