Sevilla, who have been linked to Spurs' Didier Zokora, have revealed that they must sell players before they can make any signings.

The Spanish outfit's president Jose Maria Del Nido is hopeful of offloading several of his current squad in order to bring in the funds necessary to take new faces to the Sanchez Pizjuan this summer.

Aquivaldo Mosquera and Morgan De Sanctis are two of around four first-team squad members who could be shown the exit door by the Andalucian side. However, even if that happens the two clubs must then come to an agreement on the valuation of Ivory Coast international, Zokora, which has proved to be an obstacle in the past.

"We have a lot of money in the four or five players that we are trying to find a transfer for," Del Nido told AS.

"Everyone just has to stay calm."

Sunderland have also been linked with a move for Zokora but their new boss Steve Bruce has yet to make a firm offer for the former St Etienne star's signature.
