Spurs eye Belgian starlet

Spurs have been linked with a move for Belgium international striker Divock Origi, who currently plays for French side Lille.

Origi made his mark at the World Cup on Sunday with a late goal in Belgium's 1-0 win over Russia and the London Evening Standard have claimed Spurs are considering a move for the 19-year-old.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is seeking a new striker this summer as Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to depart White Hart Lane, while Roberto Soldado's future has also been questioned after failing to impress in his debut season last term.

Origi has now emerged as a potential target and it is thought a fee in the region of £5million will be enough to convince Lille to sell.

Spurs will face competition for the striker, however, as Premier League rivals Liverpool have also been credited with an interest.
