Spurs are weighing up a January transfer bid for Borussia Monchengladbach's £7.5million-rated German midfielder Patrick Herrmann.
Reports suggest Andre Villas-Boas is keen on the Germany Under-21 international, who has caught the eye in the Bundesliga over the past few years as a goalscoring midfielder.
Herrmann has 10 goals in 56 league games for Monchengladbach and has attracted the attention of several top clubs in England with Spurs said to be leading the chase for him with a January bid a possibility.
Italian giants Inter Milan are also thought to be keen on Herrmann and the German outfit want in the region of £8million for the 21-year-old.
Meanwhile, Spurs have also been linked with a January move for Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz, who has been catching the eye of several other Premier League sides too.
Liverpool and West Ham are also interested in the 27-year-old, who has begun the season well in Turkey, scoring four league goals in his first four matches for his new club.
