Tottenham have entered the race late on to sign Liverpool target Divock Origi, but the Lille man is expected to still choose the Reds.
Liverpool are believed to have already agreed a £9million deal with the French club for the Belgium international, who caught the eye at the World Cup, but Spurs are attempting to hijack the move.
Reports claim the 19-year-old is keen to meet with Tottenham officials to see what their proposal is before making his final decision, as Liverpool's plan to loan him back to Lille for a season may not be as attractive as the north Londoners propelling him straight into their first-team for the upcoming campaign.
Spurs have trumped Liverpool for several players in the past few years, including sealing deals for Clint Dempsey and Gylfi Sigurdsson after it had looked like they were bound for Anfield so they will hope to do the same for Origi.
The youngster's stock has risen after some impressive performances for his country in Brazil this summer, during which he kept Romelu Lukaku out of the starting line-up, scoring one goal in the Group H win over Russia.
