Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is reported to be weighing up a January swoop for Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi.

The 19-year-old has been in impressive form for the Rome outfit this season and his performances in the Europa League are said to have caught the eye of Villas-Boas.

Onazi, who was born in Nigeria, has only just broken into the Lazio first-team and although he has made just four appearances for them, Villas-Boas is impressed.

The midfielder is staying focused on his career at Lazio for now but when pressed on the matter of a possible move to England, was quoted as saying: "If the chance comes, good."

Villas-Boas is planning a host of new signings in the January window and it seems as though Onazi is on his list of targets.
