Tottenham are set to battle it out with Bayern Munich for the signature of Valencia's Brazilian goalscoring midfielder Jonas.

The 28-year-old Brazilian has been starring for Los Che since they paid Gremio just over £1million for him in 2011, but his recent performances have caught the eye of Spurs scouts.

He played well against Chelsea in last season's Champions League, scoring three goals in Valencia's Euro campaign and recently netted a double in their group stage victory over Lille.

Bayern Munich are serious rivals for his signature and could force the transfer fee near to £5million for the Brazilian international, who has been capped a handful of times.
