Tottenham have been told they are not the only club who are interested in signing Emmanuel Adebayor this summer.

The striker is set to leave Manchester City at the end of the season and Tottenham will be favourites to sign him on a permanent basis if they can agree terms with the player.

Adebayor is impressing while on loan at White Hart Lane and Harry Redknapp would love to keep him if a deal can be agreed. The problem is the personal terms involved with the player said to earn a staggering amount and even if Spurs make the top four they may not be willing to stretch that far.

The former Arsenal man will not be short of offers though and City boss Roberto Mancini says a number of top clubs are showing an interest ahead of the transfer window re-opening.

"Adebayor is playing well and I am happy for him. He's a good guy and a good player and I am happy," Mancini revealed. "If at the end of the season he wants to stay at Tottenham they will buy him, or another team will. There are a lot of teams that want Manu."
