Spurs face competition from Atletico Madrid in their bid to sign Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao.
Spurs have been linked with the Internacional forward for some time and had been considered the frontrunners in the race for Damiao's signature following Marseille's admission that they were unprepared to meet the asking price of £17million.
However, talkSPORT have now reported that both Atletico and Inter Milan are keen on the 23-year-old Brazil international.
Atletico are on the lookout for a new forward as key man Radamel Falcao is expected to move on in a big money deal this summer, meaning the Spanish side will have no problem matching Internacional's valuation.
The La Liga outfit will also be able to offer the forward Champions League football and Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas will have to move quickly if he is to beat off the competition and secure Damiao's services.
