Spurs keeper set to return

Last Updated: Fri, 08 Nov 2013 09:50

Manager Andre Villas-Boas is set to name Hugo Lloris between the sticks when Tottenham Hotspur host Newcastle United on Sunday.

The France number one was knocked out last week against Everton but, despite a furore, Villas-Boas said he was in contention for the Europa Cup clash on Thursday, instead Brad Friedel took the gloves.

Lloris is likely to return along with the likes of Andros Townsend and Roberto Soldado for the clash with Newcastle.

Erik Lamela will be hoping to feature against the Magpies after scoring his first goal for the club on Thursday in the win over Sherriff Tiraspol and Aaron Lennon will also be hoping he can feature.

Defender Danny Rose (toe), midfielder Sandro (hamstring) and left-back Zeki Fryers (groin) are out.
