Tottenham are ready to offer Italian midfielder Andre Pirlo a three-year contract worth £12million if he leaves Juventus next summer.
The former AC Milan stalwart's future in Turin appears to be in some doubt as talks over a new deal with the Serie A champions show no sign of progression, with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.
The relationship between Juve and Pirlo took another downward turn during the week when he was hauled off after an hour of the Champions League clash with Real Madrid, much to the 34-year-old's frustration.
Spurs are looking to capitalise on the situation and are hopeful of tempting Pirlo to White Hart Lane by offering him a deal which will extend his playing career until he is 37.
Tottenham's technical director Franco Baldini is hoping the World Cup winner won't sign a new contract before the turn of the year as they look to get him to sign a pre-contract agreement in January.
