Tottenham have slapped a £100m price tag on the head of Gareth Bale to scare off interested parties, reports have claimed.
Spurs face a huge battle to keep hold of the Welshman in the summer as Manchester United along with European giants Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are all showing an interest.
Bayern are said to be leading the race for Bale's signature as new boss Pep Guardiola has put him at the top of his wanted list when he takes over at the end of the season.
However, the German giants, or any other interested club, will have to pay a world-record fee of £100million if they are to have any chance of doing a deal for the 23-year-old.
Spurs want to keep hold of him but if they miss out on a place in the Champions League, the could struggle and a host of clubs are waiting to pounce.
