Alvaro Pereira's agent says his client may be interested in talking to Tottenham if current club Inter Milan don't qualify for Europe.
The 27-year-old has recently been linked with a switch to White Hart Lane as Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas looks to link up with a player who worked with him during his time in charge of Porto.
The Uruguay international only moved from Porto to Inter Milan last summer but has been frustrated in his brief time at the San Siro, with the Nerazzurri languishing in seventh in Serie A.
The 2010 Champions League winners risk missing out on being in Europe next season as a result of their poor campaign and Pereira's agent says that could spell the end of his Inter career.
With Villas-Boas looking to replace current left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto this summer, Pereira looks as though he could be a potential transfer target, although his representative admits the decision ultimately lies with Inter.
"At the moment we are relaxed, as Alvaro signed a contract and it is his intention to stay with Inter until 2016," agent Flavio Perchman told TMW.
"Our intention is to stay in Milan, but it is obvious that an offer from a top European club would be evaluated if the Nerazzurri decided to let him go. The decision on whether or not to lose Alvaro Pereira is above all Inter's.
"I don't know anything about Tottenham, as we haven't had contact with Spurs. I can say that the rapport between Pereira and Andre Villas-Boas is excellent from their experience together at Porto."
