Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is looking to bring defender Danny Rose back to White Hart Lane when his Sunderland loan comes to an end.
The Spurs boss has apparently decided that he wants the young defender to return to the club when his current loan at the Stadium of Light comes to an end in the summer.
The 22-year-old, who scored his first goal for the Black Cats in Monday night's defeat at Aston Villa, had hinted that he would like to stay in the North East after stating that he would make a decision at the end of the season.
Villas-Boas has told Rose he wants him back at White Hart Lane next season as he has had problems with the left-back spot this term playing Kyle Naughton and Jan Vertonghen out of position as Benoit Assou-Ekotto has struggled for consistency.
