Cardiff have agreed a fee of £8m with Blackpool for the services of England Under-21 ace Tom Ince who had been linked to Spurs.
Bluebirds boss Malky Mackay is looking to land his first signing of the summer and Ince would be a great acquisition for the club but, with some of the Premier League big guns still linked, the deal is by no means done.
Tottenham have also been credited with an interest and they could comfortably afford the £8m fee but it's thought their interest has cooled recently.
Newcastle United bosses Alan Pardew and Joe Kinnear are also interested in a move for the youngster.
His former club Liverpool have long been linked but they refused to meet the £6m asking price back in January so there is no reason to believe they will meet the new higher price.
