French side Lille have warned Tottenham they will have to pay £12million if they want to sign Brazilian midfielder Michel Bastos.
The highly-rated 25-year-old was linked with a switch to White Hart Lane in April and it seems that boss Harry Redknapp is keen to take him to the club during the summer transfer window.
However, he will have to use a hefty chunk of his kitty if Bastos is to get the green light from Lille to join the Londoners.
A solution for Spurs could be to try and offload right midfielder David Bentley to raise the funds required to sign left-footed dead-ball specialist Bastos, who is keen to play in the Premier League to boost his chances of a call-up to Brazil coach Dunga's senior squad.
