Tottenham's move for striker Hulk looks almost certain to fail after they were quoted a massive loan fee to land him.
The big-spending north Londoners asked about taking Hulk on loan from Zenit St Petersburg and were told they could have him for a year but only if they cough up a massive £10million for the deal.
That prices him out of a move as chief Daniel Levy is almost certain to block that sort of money being spent for just 12 months despite having cash in the bank following the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, hopes that Emmanuel Adebayor may move to Schalke have taken a blow because the Bundesliga club cannot raise the money to complete the deal, according to reports.
